⌚️🎙️ Transcribe voice notes from Apple Watch
Record and transcribe voice notes from your Apple Watch with one tap. They'll be saved in your Reflect daily note.
Transcribe voice notes directly from your Apple Watch. This workflow uses a custom Reflect shortcut to connect your OpenAI account to Reflect.
It also allows you to do things like record lists and other formats using just your voice.
Step 1: Get your OpenAI API keys
If you don’t have one already, set up a billing account with OpenAI. You’ll then be able to generate your own API keys here.
Generate an API key specifically for Reflect and save it somewhere safe (like in your notes).

Step 2: Generate a Reflect access token
Go to Reflect’s Developer Settings page here and log into your Reflect account and profile. You’ll then be able to generate an access token.
Give it whatever name you want. Set the URL to reflect.app
. For the redirect, put in https://localhost:3000/oauth/redirect
.
Be sure to copy the access code and save it.

Step 3: Setup the custom shortcut
Add the custom shortcut here.
Then just follow the instructions. You’ll see a place to put your OpenAI API key, your Reflect graph name and your Reflect Access Token.
Putting the keys into the shortcut
Click “Add Shortcut” and it should be on your shortcuts page.
You can right click on the shortcut and click “Edit” to see developer comments and optional formatting elements.

Step 4: Add the shortcut button to your Apple Watch screen
Once this is all set up, you can add the shortcut button to your Apple Watch. Tap and hold down on the screen until you get the edit options. Then configure however you’d like.
