😌 A Daily Reflection

Each morning, you can record and transcribe a daily reflection in your notes. All while making coffee or walking outside.

Today we'll be setting up a daily reflection that you can easily do each morning. We'll first cover how to setup your template and call on it each morning. Then we will show you how to record and automatically transcribe your reflection as a voice note, so you can brew your coffee or take a walk as you reflect.

Step 1: Set up your daily reflection as a template

Start by deciding what you want your daily reflection to be.

What you put in your daily reflection is entirely up to you and what you want to achieve.

If you don't know where to start, Reflect has a pre-built journal template that you can use out of the box, or even customize yourself.

In Reflect go to Preferences > Templates and you'll see it there. Edit it however you'd like!

Step 2: Pull up the template in your daily note

Each morning, you can call on the template by typing /journal (or whatever you have labeled your reflection template) in your daily note.

After your done typing your reflection, you can collapse the parent bullet to keep your note nice and clean.

💡 Pro Tip: Transcribe your reflection with AI

The easiest way to record a daily reflection in your notes is to transcribe it via your voice. Both Reflect's desktop and mobile apps have a voice transcriber.

What you'll get is a block of text that AI can then format for you.

You'll first need to setup a custom prompt. You can copy the "daily reflection formatting" prompt used in the gif below from this spreadsheet.

If you've never saved custom AI prompts in Reflect, here's how.

Happy note-taking!
